If the music continues after 10 pm then call the Police non-emergency #201-547-5477. If they don't show up keep calling and get your neighbors to call also ---- if nothing gets resolved then call your Police District Commander !!! Also contact your Councilperson & the Mayor's office !! This is happening all over the City and we should not have to put up with these inconsiderate pieces of trash !!!
Wait.
So…
Can I go buy the biggest, loudest sound machine, something that really hurts everyone’s ears, and blare that thing free of consequences until 10 pm?
Every day?
Prior to 10 pm, are there ANY regulations on volume?
If you’re going to blame anyone for causing trouble, blame those who ARE causing trouble, the ones blasting their music (secretly, that’s not you, is it?)
Having been subjected, myself, to the musical musings of other people, partying on Monticello between Belmont and Emory, with monster speakers in their cars, blasting their music with no apparent limits on volume, all before the magical 10 pm cutoff hour, I believe the original poster was likely trying to convey the same thing. They could have done a better job on n conveying how deafening the music they experienced was, if so.
But, you bring up a good point about causing trouble (I wasn’t, not yet anyway). If the police can’t / won’t / don’t respond to these complaints, at some point, why not fight noise with noise? I can’t give a zoom presentation while working from home because at 3 pm on a Thursday afternoon, someone 2 blocks away is blasting music so loud, my voice can’t be heard speaking 12 inches from my laptop.
